It was an honor to join U.S. Senator Jack Reed on a tour of and discussion about the work being done to preserve and maintain the Woonasquatucket Greenway, which was lead by the leadership of the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council. The tour showcased improvements made as a result of state and federal investments. Our conversation touched upon how the Greenway can be continue to be sustained, maintained and improved for future generations through the leveraging of resources and community partnerships.

I have been an advocate of Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council and have collaborated with them on a number of projects , including the Pleasant Valley Parkway Storm Water Management Project currently underway in Ward 5.

Additional green space collaborations in our ward include establishing protected bike lanes as part of the Mt. Pleasant Avenue Traffic Calming project, as well as paving projects on Eaton Street and other main roadways within our ward.
