This Year We Will Celebrate at Home

Dear Neighbors

As we enter into yet another week under quarantine, I’m taking time to appreciate all the beautiful spring flowers and blossoming trees that brighten our yards and neighborhoods. While we won’t be able to participate in our usual outdoor celebrations of Earth Day, we can still do our part to keep our neighborhoods green and clean by:

  1. Remembering to recycle and reduce our use of single-use plastics.

  2. Planting green things in our yards.

  3. Making our homes more energy efficient to lower heating and cooling bills.

  4. Taking time to enjoy the outside this weekend from the comfort of our porches, stoops, and yards.

It may be a while before we can enjoy all the beautiful green spaces in our neighborhoods and state, but until then, I hope you’ll find a way to make this a great at-home Earth Day.

Please continue to stay safe, stay at home, and do your part to social distance to help us flatten the COVID-19 outbreak curve in our City and State.

Be well,
